And the Climbing Begins...

Yesterday afternoon I was reading on the couch and I looked over and saw Parker standing on the bar of the chair!! By the time I got the camera he had gotten down and didn't do it again until last night. He now does it all the time, and it won't be long before he is climbing on all the furniture!! I'm not really sure how I feel about that.

"I'm not doing anything Mom, you can look away now!"
"Maybe I can make it into the chair..."
"Oops, I have been caught!"

Morning TV

Yesterday morning Chris took Parker out to the living room to play with his toys after he had his bottle and then he went to get ready for work. I came out a few minutes later to watch him and this is what he was doing...
He had turned the TV on by himself and was watching it! And then while I was working out a little later that morning he decided he wanted to change the channel a few times...I guess now is the time to look for something to cover the buttons!!

Daddy's Little Helper

This morning Chris was doing the dishes and he went in the other room for a second and came back out to Parker standing at the dishwasher trying to take things out! I guess he just wanted to help out...it's never to early to start helping with the dishes!!

9 Months

On Monday Parker turned 9 months old. I can't believe how fast he is growing and changing and that in just 3 short months he will be 1 years old!!! Crazy! Today he went to the doctor for his 9-month check up. No shots this time, thankfully. Here are his stats:

- Weight: 16 lbs 11 oz, 3rd percentile (at 6 months: 14 lbs 10 oz, 7th percentile)
- Height: 27 1/2 inches, 25th percentile (at 6 months: 25 1/2 inches, 18th percentile)
- Head Circum.: 18 inches, 63rd percentile (at 6 months: 17 1/2 inches, 70th percentile!)

He is starting to even out, meaning that the rest of his body is starting to fit in with his head!! Some of the things Parker has been doing the last couple weeks: army crawling (has started to actually crawl in the last day or two), pulling himself up in the crib mainly but starting to pull himself up on other things, says "baba", "Mama", and "Dada", loves opening the doors on the entertainment center and drawers in the kitchen, and he now has 8 teeth (4 on top and 4 on bottom, looks like the molars are about to come in soon). Everyday it seems he is doing something new and entertaining and we just love watching him grow!

BBQing

A couple weeks ago we bought a small grill so we could BBQ steaks, hamburgers, etc. Well we finally put it togethr last week and had London Broil. It turned out really really good. Parker really wanted to help Chris put it together, but since there were a ton of little screws and washers and stuff we thought it probably wouldn't be the best thing. So we put him inside the bottom of the BBQ instead. He seemed to like it, that is until he fell backwards and hit his head on the chair!

The new Mr. & Mrs. Bell!!

Yesterday Chris' brother, Jeff, was married to Maria Keller. They were married in the Idaho Falls Temple. The weather was just perfect for a wedding...there was pretty much NO wind, which hardley ever happens in Idaho, and it was sunny but not too hot! Parker did amazingly well considering he only had one nap in the morning before we left. Needless to say, he was extremely tired by the time we got home.
Full length shot...
A couple of the brothers...
Jeff and his Mom and Dad
Maria's sister made Parker a bowtie to wear...isn't it the cutest??

Parker Update

Well it's been awhile since I've posted anything and figured I would just catch up all in one post!

A couple weeks ago Parker was playing with his jeans and we decided to put them on his head and see what he would do. He actually didn't mind at all and liked posing for the camera! I thought he just looked too cute!
Probably about a week ago Chris went in to get Parker up from his nap and when he opened the door, this is what he found...
...He had pulled himself up to a stand!! When he did this we had LITERALLY just lowered his matress a couple days before. Good timing, huh?! Parker has gotten really, really good at scooting all around the apartment and getting into things. Yesterday he decided he wanted to try and get into the entertainment center. As you can see on the right side of the picture, his favorite thing to do is open the door and play with the stuff inside. He almost fully got on the shelf in the middle yesterday, but not quite. We went to Target yesterday and we found the cutest infant hats. We decided we should probably get him one to help keep the sun from burning his little face and ears. He actually really likes wearing it, which is awesome!!! Don't you just love his expression?!!
