Nursery

Parker is finally "officially" old enough to be in nursery. He has been going, however since January when we got to Kansas because the ward is so small that they didn't mind him going. So far it seems he's fine one week, crys and won't go the next and then fine the next.

Today was his technically 6th week, but since church was cancelled last week, it's really only his 5th week in nursery. It started off a little shakey but after about 5 minutes I was able to quickly sneak out and he was fine the whole time! I came back to pick him up and when I got there he greeted me with a smile. His teacher told us that he had a great time, climbed on the bottom shelf of one of the cabinets and played for awhile, built towers with another child and knocked them over and laughed each time, and during music time he danced and sang. His favorite part though, I think is snack time!! I mean, who's isn't!! We are so pleased that he had a great experience and hopefully it will continue to be the same :)

My Little Man

Parker has been growing out of all his church clothes, so I bought him some new stuff on Old Navy (size 18-24 months now!) and they arrived on Friday. When I got him ready for church today, I just couldn't resist taking a picture because he just looked so much older and very handsome! Even his shoes are new (size 5 1/2!)...my little baby is growing! :(
I didn't get the greatest pictures because he just insisted on moving, but you get the idea!

Just Hangin' Around

Parker's new favorite thing to do...
I have a video on my Facebook, but couldn't get it to load here!

Valentine's Day

Even though we couldn't really do much this year for Valentine's Day, it was still a pretty fun and relaxing day. This was the first year we got anything for Parker...I wasn't sure if I was going to or not, but when Parker decided to put the paws and nose of the bear in his mouth at the store, I figured we should probably buy it. We also got him little chocolates and some Toy Story gummies, both of which turned out to taste not so good...Sorry Parker :)
Chris' gift to me...chocolates and jewlery, what more could a girl ask for!
For dinner, we made Chicken Cordon Bleu with garlic mashed potatos and green beans...delicious!! (And YES, that is a paper plate...without a dishwasher, I get tired of doing dishes ALL the time, so this is our normal set of dishes :)My Valentine! We didn't get the best pictures, I like the bottom one better of me, but Chris just had to ruin it!! He looks best in the above one :)For Chris I bought a small box of chocolates and some other candy and a new game for the Wii (Winter Sports), but it hasn't come yet, so he'll get to extend the holiday by a day or so until it gets here! For dessert we had chocolate covered strawberries with melted Ghiradelli chocolate...they were amazing!
HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!!!

Playground (Picture Overload!)

It was a beautiful day on Saturday so we decided to get out of the house for a bit and took Parker to the playground over at the elementary school. He had a blast, and could have played there for hours. The slides were his favorites!
He didn't want to climb up the stairs on his hands and knees...walking all the way!

First Snow

On January 29, we had our first snow of the season (at least that I know of!) while in Kansas. We were in Florida at the beginning of winter and we weren't in Idaho for very long to see much of the snow. We got about 6-8 inches of snow all at one time and it was so pretty. It turned everything from ugly brown, to beautiful white!
The next day the trees were all covered in thick frost, which was also very pretty with the sun shining!
The snow didn't last more than a couple days before it all melted off (which happens very quickly here).
