32 Weeks

Today I am 32 weeks...only 7-8 more weeks to go!!! I am so ready to be done and be able to walk up the stairs without loosing my breath, EVERY TIME, be able to switch sides when I'm sleeping without making it this huge ordeal that feels like takes 2-3 minutes, and be able to bend over and pick things up off the floor!! Those are just some of the reasons I'm ready to be done..I also can't wait to meet this little guy, who is worrying me with his intense moving abilities!! (I really can't have another rambunctious little guy...I need so calmness people!!) lol So far everything is looking good and he seems to be healthy, which is good.
I wasn't really liking the white shirt, so I changed! I have a hard time make my mind up sometimes :)

The BIG 30!!!!

No, not me, I still have about 4 more years!!! Chris celebrated his 30th birthday on April 12, 2012...he's an old man now! haha Even though it was sort of a big birthday, we kept it pretty low key...he worked ALL day (lame...I would always try and take my birthday off, but I guess someone has to bring home the bacon!!). The boys and I picked him and his brother, Brad up from work and headed to Brady to go to Pizza Hut for dinner (there really isn't anything better in that town...or ours!), then we went home and did cake and presents. It was a great day and the boys had a lot of fun "helping" out with the preparations!
I think the boys really wanted a piece of that cake!! (P.S. If you look really carefully, the left part of the red "Y" is missing...courtesy of Tyler who I guess thought the candle was candy when we were still at the store!)
Apparently they don't make the GOOD Funfetti frosting (or the just don't sell it here)! You know the one with the little candies or whatever already mixed into the frosting?! So much better than just plain vanilla frosting with sprinkles on top!! Oh well, it still turned out delicious and the boys even helped bake it!
I got Chris Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University Home Study Kit that we have been looking at for awhile now. I think we may listen to The Dave Ramsey Show a little too much because when I pulled out the box to wrap it, Parker pointed to it and yelled excitedly "The Dave Ramsey Show!!" And then proceeded to tell Chris about it as soon as we picked him up...Luckily, Chris already knew I bought it (only because I blabbed it because when we were talking about it one day I thought he knew I had already bought it for him from the way he was talking; he didn't know, I was SO MAD!! lol) so it didn't ruin that particular surprise! Moral of the story? Don't wrap ANY gifts in front of Parker, because he WILL blab what it is!
Even though Chris knew about this gift, I really wanted to get him something he didn't know about. So I got him tickets to see Dave Ramsey Live in San Antonio on April 14. We have been talking about going to that ever since we found out we were going to be in Texas, but didn't really think we would be able to go since we would have had to leave the boys with someone ALL.DAY.LONG! But I made it work, and he was so surprised! It was a great show and we are glad we were able to go!
HAPPY  30th BIRTHDAY CHRIS!!!!

Easter Weekend Part 4 - April 9, 2012

I wanted to do a separate egg hunt for the boys so they could get some of the traditional chocolate, since we did all non-chocolate candy on Sunday so it wouldn't melt and get messy in the sun & heat. We re-hid all the candy they found the day before so it looked like they got more than they really did! It was fun watching them get into it.
And that concludes our fun Easter weekend!!

Easter Weekend Part 3 - April 8, 2012

We had the other two families over for Easter dinner and an egg hunt after church. Everybody brought something for dinner as well as eggs/stuff for the hunt. It was really fun and a nice way to spend Easter. For dinner we had BBQ Chicken, Mormon potato casserole (a must in my book! lol), raspberry jello salad, green salad, home made rolls and then a bunny cake and no bake cookie egg nests for dessert! Everything was so good.
All the kids after their hunt...the best shot we could get!
 Our yummy desserts!!
Happy Easter!!!

Easter Weekend Part 2 - April 7, 2012

Tonight we decided to dye some Easter eggs after dinner. We went outside to try and make it less messy...And the boys seemed to have a good time!
Parker seems to be getting better and smiling for the camera...even if his smiles are a little cheesy sometimes! At least we are making progress!
I had found this awesome idea, I think on Pinterest, to use a wire whisk for younger kids to hold their Easter eggs so they don't drop and break. It worked like a charm!!!

Easter Weekend Part 1 - April 6, 2012

Friday morning before lunch I decided to let the boys do a little craft project using some paint and plastic Easter eggs. I had seen/heard of this idea before and thought I'd try it. The concept of the project only lasted for like 10 seconds before it became more about just playing in the paint! haha But they had fun and that's all that matters right?! Tyler even tried eating the paint...more than once! And Parker pretended the paint was soap and started rubbing it ALL over himself! lol The project was done once the paper started ripping...and then they went straight to the bath! (Warning: these pictures were taken once again with my phone...so they are a tad blurry!)

28 Weeks - March 31, 2012

I am officially now in my 3rd trimester! Crazy how time has flown by and in just a few more weeks we'll be meeting our new little guy :)
