Tyler is 3!!!

Tyler turned 3 on Friday, July 12!! I still can't believe my baby is getting so big...definitely not my baby any more! For his birthday I met up with our friends at Happy Hollow Zoo and we basically just rode on the rides, played, saw part of a puppet show and had lunch. Didn't see any animals this trip! Later we picked Chris up from work a little early and surprised the boys by taking them to Chuck E Cheese's. They had a blast going from game to game and ride to ride. They each got about 50 tickets which was plenty for them and they both picked the same prizes, go figure!
All the fun ended when we were waiting to redeem our tickets and Chuck the Mouse went up to Tyler, who was "playing" a game, to say hello! He was not expecting that and when he looked up and saw the mouse standing right behind him he jumped back like 2 feet, with a scared expression on his face, and then proceeded to run all the way around to the other side of the room screaming/crying until Chris could rescue him!!! He didn't even want to walk past the game he was playing and wouldn't let Chris put him down at first! It was both hilarious and sad at the same time. Now when we ask if he wants to go to Chuck E Cheese's he quickly responds with "NO!!" haha

On our way home we went to this delicious restaurant that we love going to called Whisper's for dinner. Since it was Tyler's birthday we let him get a yummy Belgian waffle with fresh strawberries and whipped cream (it's not on the kids menu and he ate almost the whole thing!) It's seriously so good! Then we went home and did presents and cupcakes!!

The only way to eat a cup cake...eat the frosting first!
His main present this year was a new balance bike. We have been hearing such good things about them, we figured why not, makes sense to me to just completely bypass training wheels!

Happy Birthday Big Boy!!! We love YOU :)

Rio Del Mar Beach - July 5, 2013

Since Chris also had the day after the 4th of July off we wanted to do something fun...so we decided to head to the beach!! Our friends from church came along with us and we had a great time. We decided to go to a different beach this time so we went just a little South to Rio Del Mar. We left somewhat early and got a great parking spot right next to the beach and it wasn't super crowded either. The weather was perfect also!

Goofy Parker!
 Looking for crabs...
Taking time for a snack :)
 Helping to dig a hole...
Helping bury Parker's legs in the sand!!
 Tyler's turn!
 Playin' in the water
There were a scary amount of birds congregating in the middle of the ocean, I had to take a picture of them!

4th of July 2013

**Picture Overload!!**
This year we were once again away from Idaho Falls and our family for the 4th of July, which made me sad since we love all our little traditions there. However we still had a pretty good day, and pretty low key! We started off the day with a pancake breakfast and program at the church which was fun and delicious. For the last couple of songs all the kids were able to come up and pick a musical instrument to play during the songs, which of course they all loved!
After the program they got to have fun playing with water balloons! It started out like this...
...but that only lasted like 20 seconds and then turned to a full blown water balloon fight!!
After the breakfast we came home and just relaxed, ate some lunch and took a nice nap! We had bought some headphones for the boys for our upcoming trips and so they wanted to try them out...
We were really wanting to do something else fun and I found a good GREAT deal at Sky High Sports, a really cool trampoline park in Santa Clara. The boys haven't ever been to one, but I always thought they would love it since well they are boys and are always jumping around on our couches! After 4 pm tickets were only $4/person per hour, they are normally $12/person per hour!!! Not only that, Tyler was actually FREE!!! We only needed to stay an hour because it was pretty warm in there and they tired themselves out! We were afraid it was going to be super crowded, especially with those prices, but it wasn't at all!
I even jumped a little! I couldn't last very long before the combination of heat and jumping started making me a little nauseous, so I just stuck to taking the pictures!
The boys really loved jumping into the foam pit!!
You can really tell how tired Tyler is in this picture!! lol
When we were done here we went and got Jamba Juice with our buy 1 get 1 free coupon and then went home and showered and got the boys ready for bed. And then of course 4th of July isn't the same without fireworks!! The only firework show we knew of that was somewhat close was San Francisco and we didn't really want to drive all the way up there so we just drove up on the hills by our house and found a great view of the entire city! Even though they are illegal here everyone still did all the big fireworks and we could see them all around! We stayed there for about a half hour, which was plenty anyways, until the cops drove by and made everyone leave because it was apparently a private drive! haha Oh well, we at least got our fix right!? All in all it was a fun day!!
