4 Month's Old

My step-mom took a bunch of pictures of Parker. They turned out really, really well. I can't believe he is already 4 1/2 months old. He is growing so fast. Rolling over a little bit, when he decides he wants to, grabbing his toys and my hair and chewing on everything. He is so much fun. We LOVE YOU PARKER!! :)

(***I have posted several other pictures below this, so keep on scrolling!!!***)

Christmas

Christmas morning was full of food, presents and stockings.

Grandpa helping Parker open his very first present!! He really enjoyed it, although I'm pretty sure he still doesn't understand the whole present thing.

Christmast Eve

Here is the beautiful Christmas tree. For dinner we had hommeade chili and chips. It was so good!! Not everyone has arrived yet, we were still waiting for Kelsey to fly in. She didn't get here until about 10:30 that night.

Yum....

Rice Ceral!!!! Parker has started eating rice ceral and actually really likes it. He does so well with it, I'm pretty amazed. He never really had any trouble swallowing it and now opens his mouth wide to let me know he's ready for more!

Visiting Grandma and Grandpa Wiser

We went to Arizona for Christmas, so Parker was able to see his Grandma and Grandpa for a few days. The weather was great, compared to our usual cold Rexburg weather! Merry Christmas!!!

Parker Meets....

...one of his uncles, STEPHAN!!! My step-brother, Stephan flew in from Portland for Christmas. It has been fun having him here since it has been so long. We were able to have all the siblings together again which was so nice and tons of fun!

Santa Claus

Today we went to the mall to visit Santa Claus. Parker did really well, although he didn't want to smile for the "professional" camera. We were able to get one picture of him smiling with our camera. The pictures below are the ones that were professionally taken...the expressions say it all!!! Enjoy...

Graduation...Class of 2008

Last night Chris and I graduated from Brigham Young University- Idaho. Chris got his Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management and I got my Bachelor's Degree in Business Managment- Supply Chain Managment Emphasis. First we attended the graduation banquet where we ate dinner and listened to President Uchtdorf and President Clark speak. Parker did very well throughout the whole evening. My mom, step-dad, brother, my grandparents and Chris' family came. President Uchdorf was the key speaker at the Commencement and it was really good.

Here is everyone walking in...there were almost 1200 students graduating last night, 42 of which were couples graduating together.

We did it!!!!!

Roll on Over

Last night I laid Parker on his tummy for some tummy time, well like 2 seconds after I laid him down he had turned himself over. He did it about 4 more times and all too quickly. By the time I was able to get the camera turned on or even start recording he had already turned over. So this morning I tried again and the same thing happened. He just turned over like instantaneously before I could even push record. And then when I was able to turn the camera on he would lay there for a while so I would stop recording and as soon as I turned it off he rolled over...Geeze! Who knew it would be so hard! Well I was finally able to get at least one roll on video. He has been able to roll to both sides and has been trying to roll from his back to his front. He is just growing so fast! Enjoy the video!!!

Homework...

Parker wanted to help us do our homework on the computer. He was very intrigued, but unfortunately not much of a help! He did however create his own web link all by himself, in like the blink of an eye...kids these days, they are comin' out so computer savvy!

Newel K. Whitney Award

This morning I was invited to go to an awards breakfast to receive an award I had been nominated for called the Newel K Whitney Award. Business Management faculty members elect those who they feel will be employable quality graduates. To be eligible for the award at least two faculy members have to nominate you. There were 22 other students who also received this award out of a couple hundred students in the whole Buisness Management program that are graduating this semester. It was such an honor to be recognized and I'm grateful to have been chosen. Parker came a long with me to see me receive the award. Chris unfortunately had class during this time so was unable to come.

We each got our pictures taken and will be displayed in the hallway of the main business building on campus.

The award we received was a clock in the form of a book with a picture of Newel K. Whitney engraved inside of it. It is a very beautiful clock.

Happy Thanksgiving!

So every year at dinner we go around the table and say things we are thankful for. The only rule is that we aren't allowed to say anything that someone else has said. I thought that since it's Thanksgiving today I would go ahead and list a few things I am thankful for.

5. I'm thankful for technology.
6. I'm thankful for airplanes.
7. I'm thankful for our cars, when they work!

12. I'm thankful for food.
13. I'm thankful for shoes.
14. I'm thankful for cookies.
15. I'm thankful for friends.
16. I'm thankful for kitchen appliances.
17. I'm thankful for cell phones.
18. I'm thankful for this country.

Gessel Family Pictures

Since we were able to have everyone here (except for Ashley and her fiance, Kyle) we decided to take a family picture. Well...the video below will tell the story better than I can!

We did finally figure it out and were able to get an okay picture...I think!

Ride to Seattle...

We drove to Boise on Friday afternoon and stopped at a Subway about 1 1/2 hours away from Boise to feed Parker and give him a little break from the car seat. He did so well in the car until about the last 10 minutes and he got fussy and just wanted to get out of the car! Early Saturday morning we flew to Seattle. Parker was really good on the plane too, he slept almost the whole way and wasn't fussy or anything.

Parker wanted to help drive too!

Christmas Time!!! :)

This coming Saturday we are flying to Seattle for the Thanksgiving break! We are so excited...it will be Parker's first plane ride. Normally we wait until the day after Thanksgiving to decorate for Christmas, however since we won't be back until the Saturday after Thanksgiving and we will busy getting ready for finals and graduation, we decided to put our stuff up before we left so we could come home to a nicely decorated home!! So far all we have gotten up is the tree, but it's definitely getting me into the spirit of the season!!! I can't wait to finish putting everything up :)

Kicks and Giggles!

I haven't posted a video for awhile, so I thought I would post one. He was in a great mood and just kicking up a storm! His pajamas are just a little on the small side, as you can see, his legs are like 4 inches from the bottom of the leg holes!!! He's growing so fast!

Trick or Treat!!

Tonight we went Trunk or Treating at our church parking lot. The first few pictures were taken before we left. It was pretty fun, although Parker slept through the whole thing! Afterwards we went to the movie theater here in town and did a little bowling and trick or treating at the booths they had set up. We went with our friends Sydney and Jon and their little boy, Carson who was Kung Fu Panda for Halloween!!

He was starting to get a little fussy...

Oops, what happened here?

There we go, much better!

Happy Halloween!!

Halloween Festivities!

Today I took Parker to the Halloween party at Melaleuca and walked through the building and collected candy. It's one of the most celebrated holidays of the year because it's the CEO's favorite holiday. All the departments decorated and dressed up. It was pretty fun and was glad to be able to take Parker. He enjoyed looking around at all the decorations and people around him. He fit into his costume a little better, which means he is growing!!! Once I gave him the Trick or Treat bag he wouldn't let go! Tomorrow we are going to our Trunk or Treat at church which will be fun. Here are some pictures of Parker before we left for the party...Enjoy!!!

Hi Mom!! Are you almost done?
Let's see...what am I supposed to do with this thing?!

Brrrr....I'm Cold!

Tonight after Parker's bath, we took him and put him on the changing table to put his diaper on. Well after I was done putting it on, this is what he looked like. He had a firm grasp of the towl around his little hands and wouldn't let go because he was cold! It was so cute and I couldn't resist taking a few pictures. Needless to say, he wasn't all that happy that we took the towl off him to get him dressed!!

Kiddo tagged!!

Parker got kiddo tagged by our friend Sydni Yoshioka. Now I get to write 5 things I love about Parker!!

1. I love how calm and content he always seems to be. I couldn't have asked for a better baby. He is always happy and smiling and just goes along with whatever is going on around him.

2. I love how he kicks his little legs and never stops! Even when he is crying he still has to kick them as hard as he can as if they will help move him to a new location.

3. I love his cute little whimper cry, before it becomes a full out wailing (which doesn't happen all that often!). When he whimpers, it's not even like he is really crying it's like his way of saying, "Um, hello? I'm still here remember? Can you come get me now??!"

4. I love his adorable little smile and his cute dimple on his left cheek.

5. I love watching him play with his little toys, or look at himself in the mirror, etc. He has such a great time and is very entertaining.

I'm now kiddo tagging: Hilary Craner, Katie Rammell, and Laura Smith.

Meme...

My sister has tagged me with a Meme. I'm not really sure what it stands for, but I'm supposed to post the fourth picture from the fourth folder in My Pictures file.

So it looks like the picture is part of the school's construction from last year I think. Chris took it for some reason, I'm not really sure why.

Anyways, I now tag Heather, Sydney and Katie. Go and post the fourth picture in your fourth folder in your pictures file. Have fun!!!
