Escape Artist

Every morning when I get showered and ready for the day I have Parker in the bathroom with me. Usually I have him in his bouncer, but on occasion I have him in his exersaucer. Well today I had him in the bouncer and I had gotten out of the shower and was starting to get dressed in our room when I hear this tiny clunk. I didn't hear any crying so I didn't immediately rush in. I was half-dressed when I thought I should maybe just check on Parker...well when I looked around the corner of the door, I saw this....

...apparently he no longer likes being left alone in his bouncer and decided to get out!!
Hey Mom, look what I did!!
I figured I would just leave him there while I finished getting dressed because I didn't want him to get out again. However, when I came back, he was in a completely different place....
...doing this...
...Sorry the resolution is bad, I took it with my phone. The videos I take on the camera are too big to load on here, oh well. He played with the drawers for a good 5 minutes, until he finally shut his fingers in it. That pretty much ended that game! I guess I will have to either strap him in or put him in his exersaucer from now on. Oh, and did I mention that he now also knows how to open the doors on our entertainment center and pull everything out?!? Man I swear once they know how to scoot or crawl around, nothing stands in their way!! I really need to get on top of the babyproofing thing.

He's a SCOOTIN!!

Parker has been trying to start scooting/crawling, and today he was finally able to do it!! Of course, now I'm in trouble because I haven't baby-proofed anything yet!

Sorry, the resolution isn't so great...it was with my phone.

Sweet Dreams

The other night we layed Parker down on the couch to drink his bottle before going to bed. We looked over at one point and he must have been extremely tired because this is what we found...

Jail Bird

The other day Parker had just woken up and I peeked through the crack in the door and saw this...
He has just started playing with the crib bumper and tries to see if he can see us through the door. I guess we should probably lower his mattress soon since I'm guessing he'll try to pull himself up next!!

Giggly Parker

Earlier this week when my sister, Kelsey, was here she was playing with Parker while I was getting his lunch. He just wouldn't stop laughing, it was kinda funny!

Chris' Birthday

This year Chris' birthday just happened to land on Easter. He turned 27 years old this year, but tried to tell everyone he was 30! I thought everyone wanted to be younger than they really are on their birthday, not older!! Anyways, after Easter dinner we broke out the ice cream cake from Dairy Queen and presents. He got some shirts, money, candy and a movie. All in all, I think he had a pretty good day! HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHRIS!!!

Easter Sunday

My family was in town this year for Easter. It was great to see them. We are missing my sister, Ashley, and her husband, Kyle, my sister Briana, and her husband, Mike, and Parker...he was worn out from church and was sleeping! It was a beautiful day outside, except for a little wind. HAPPY EASTER!!!
My aunt and uncle decided to bless baby Boyd on Easter since my uncle's parents were in town and all of my aunt's family was together. They didn't want to take him to church however since he's not even a week old so their Bishop and a couple of their friends came over to my Aunt Jennifer's house and blessed him there. It was really nice. They now have 2 boys and 2 girls!

Boyd Gilbert Davis...

...ARRIVES!!! My aunt, Amy, had her baby on April 7 at 11 pm. He was 7 lbs 9 oz and 21 1/2 inches long. We went and visited Amy and Boyd at the hospital last week and he was just precious. I stll can't believe how tiny he was, and to think that he is just a little bigger than Parker was when he was born. They grow up so fast, it's unbelieveable! Parker will be 8 months in a couple days and he's growing and changing all the time.

Playin at the Park

Last week we had some pretty gorgeous weather, at the beginning at least! We decided to take full advantage of it. On Monday, Connor, Parker and I walked to the park for awhile. It ended up being 1 mile one way from our apartment. Parker didn't really know what to think of the swings and slides and stuff since it was his first time at the park, but I have a feeling that by the end of the summer he will love it!! Then on Tuesday we decided to meet up with our friends, Jon, Sydney and their son Carson at the park for a picnic dinner and play frisbee and stuff. It was pretty fun.
Contemplating life, so far, at the top of the slide...

General Conference

Okay, I know that this post is a little past due, but that's what happens when you're busy! On Sunday for General Conference we rented a car and drove down to Ogden (we actually picked the car up on Saturday morning). My step-dad's parents and siblings live down there so we went to visit them and then my brother Connor was going to come back with us and stay in Idaho the following week. It was also my grandpa's birthday so we were able to celebrate it with him! It was pretty fun. Parker also got to play with his cousin, Jeremy, who is about 2 1/2 months or so older than him. They seemed to have a pretty good time. It was really nice to see my aunts, uncles and cousins on my step-dad's side, since it had been FOREVER!!!
Don't you just love Jeremy's facial expression?? I think he was still trying to decide if he liked us!
We also all sang Families Can Be Together after we sang Happy Birthday. Granddaddy loved it, HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDDAD!
My sister, Ashley, and her husband, Kyle, came up from Provo to see everyone too.

Happy Easter!

I know this post is a little early, however I couldn't wait to put this picture up. Today we went to Walmart and they had a place set up to get your picture taken with the Easter Bunny. The best part about it was that it was FREE!! So we got a couple free prints of Parker and the Easter Bunny. Thankfully Parker hasn't reached that stage yet to be afraid of strangers/costumes, etc.

It's Here!!!

A couple days ago we finally got Parker's dresser/changer! It looks so nice and it's great to have all his clothes and diapers and everything right there, instead of in separate rooms. It's also nice to get the drawer back in our dresser...he was sharing it with us! Even though he finally has a nursery, he only really gets half of the room. The other half is still storage, however we have gotten rid of a lot of stuff the past couple weeks, which is a nice feeling!

Parker wanted to help dad put it together, but first he wanted to taste the packaging!
Oooohhh, is it Christmas again??!!!!

The final product...nice, huh?! I still want to get a cover for the changing pad, but you get the idea.
Parker's room all put together. I am still planning to get medium to big sized letters that spell out his name to put on the wall over the bed, just to finish it off!
