Happy Thanksgiving!

Today was a nice, relaxing day. We went down to Idaho Falls to spend time with my grandparents, aunt's, uncles and cousins. I had been craving all the yummy Thanksgiving meal favorites all day, which all turned out to be delicious! It was nice to see everyone again and to just relax! Parker had a blast playing with all the cousins and he definitely got all tuckered out just in time for bed. It was Tyler's 1st Thanksgiving also and he seemed to enjoy all the attention he got from everyone (which was a nice break for me!).
Some of the many things I'm thankful for this year:

- My wonderful husband who was able to make it back to spend the holiday with us
- My two adorable, funny and sweet boys who make life more enjoyable each day
- My amazing family
- A nice apartment to live in
- A heater to keep us from FREEZING in the sub-zero temperatures
- My Heavenly Father who is always there for me when I need him and who loves me no matter what I may do
- My Savior who suffered and died for me so that I can one day return to him and Heavenly Father
- The gospel
- The scriptures
- Delicious food and water to keep us alive
- A running car to get us to where we need to go
- Music (Especially Christmas music during this time of year!!)

I hope everyone had a fantastic Thanksgiving holiday...

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

I'm So Glad When...

...Daddy Comes Home!!! Chris has been in Oklahoma for the last 5 weeks for work and he got to come home for Thanksgiving! We were so excited for him to get home. At first Parker was a little shy, and almost seemed to not recognize Chris, which was kinda sad. But then he warmed up to him and is loving all the wrestling/rough housing time! We met up with Chris at Applebee's and had dinner together before heading home, which was fun. He also LOVED the sign that we had made for him!!

Getting Ready for Daddy!!

Chris was scheduled to come home this past Wednesday so Parker and I made a sign for him to welcome him back!! Parker had a blast and would keep saying "I painting!!"
All Done..great job Parker!!!

Baby Einstein

Tyler absolutely LOVES our Baby Einstein, Baby Mozart DVD. Every time I turn it on he watches quite intently, the whole thing! He will kick and squeal at it also, it's quite funny. Parker also loves to watch it, even though it's geared for kids around 3 months old. The other day I just had to get a picture of the two of them watching away...

Rice Cereal

Tyler tried his first bowl of rice cereal on Sunday, November 14. He only could take a few bites before he started gagging. Apparently he's not much of a fan quite yet!

Yes, I am feeding him on the couch...Chris was still out of town and I didn't want to wait any longer so I fed him in front of the webcam so he could see Tyler's reaction!
He is still trying to figure out what exactly he's supposed to do. He just pushes it all back out with his tongue!
And in the mouth the finger goes...

4 Months

Tyler is 4 months old today! Time is flying by so fast and he has been growing so much. Some things Tyler has been doing this month include reaching and grabbing everything in sight (including my hair!), loves playing in his exersaucer, worked on drinking formula (hated it at first and wouldn't drink much more than a sip) and is now pretty much completely done nursing, loves watching his brother play and run about, and he's been trying to start rolling (actually succeeded one day at church but hasn't done it again since then). Lately he has also loved watching Baby Einstein's Baby Mozart DVD which will instantly calm him down if he starts to get fussy while in his swing!

Tyler is probably the loudest baby on the planet since he has also found his voice this past month. He thinks it's fun to literally scream a high-pitched scream at the top of his lungs...sometimes at 5:30 in the morning! Napping during the day isn't on the top of his priority list and will only sleep at most 30-45 minutes at one time. There is just so much to see while Parker is around! Luckily his bedtime routine is pretty set in stone...he's ready for bed by about 7 pm and will get up 1-2 times during the night and then is usually up for the day by about 6:30 or 7 am, or whenever Parker decides to grace us with his presence! Tyler has gotten a little less cranky during the day, except when his sick (which he currently is :( ), but he gives the best smiles and is trying to start laughing more. He loves patty-cake and he isn't much of a binky baby, and luckily he's not too dependent on his thumb either. We love him so much and are so glad to have him in our family!! Happy 4 months Tyler!!! :)

Here are his stats from the doctor today:
-Weight: 15.1 pounds (56%)
-Height: 25.3" long (65%)
-Head Circum.: 16.8" (59%)

He was a champ with his shots and only cried for a second until I picked him up! Way to go buddy :)

My Little Snow Bunnies

Today I was determined to get Parker outside to play since he hadn't been for a few days (well since Saturday when it was in the 60's!), but I still had to get Tyler something to wear to keep him warm in this crazy cold weather. So we headed out to Walmart this afternoon and I got him this adorable little snow suit that makes him look even more chubby!!
Parker is really starting so smile at the camera again! So cute!!
The snow suit made it easier for Tyler to stay sitting without toppling over! lol
Parker cheesin it (the sun was in his face so I stood in front of him and I thought his eyes were open, but I guess not!)
This was Parker's FIRST time playing in the snow! Last year we were in Florida, and he got to play in the sand instead of the snow. I had to coach him a little because he wasn't too sure about what to do, but he seemed to have a little fun...it didn't last too long though. We may have to get some sleds or something to pull him around on!
The suit did a pretty good job at keeping him warm! This little boy sure loves being outside, despite having a nasty cold! (It really isn't as cold as it seems, it was up in the low 40's, which isn't too bad.)
I showed Parker how to pick up snow and throw it, he seemed to pick that concept up rather quickly, surprise, surprise!

1st Snow

Monday morning we woke up to rain falling down and within a few hours it started mixing with snow and then before we knew it I looked outside and saw this...
...It then proceeded to continue snowing the ENTIRE rest of the day!! I'm still not sure why, but I decided to take Parker to McDonald's for dinner so he could play on the toys after being cooped up all day. As well as head to Walmart to get a shovel (every year when we go to get one they are always all gone, so this time I made sure to get one as soon as possible!) and some snow boots for Parker. We had gotten him some nice snow pants at TJ Max a few weeks ago but just needed some boots and gloves so he could play. Anyways, when we went to leave I literally scraped like 6 inches, possibly more, of wet snow off my car. Crazy. It was kinda fun watching the snow fall and staying inside most of the day watching movies and drinking hot chocolate. It's feeling more like the holidays! We'll see how long this lasts of me enjoying watching the snow fall and being all cozy inside!!
